Traceroute Instructions

Using MS-DOS Prompt

To run a traceroute, click the START button then open the command (MS-DOS) Prompt.

1. Type the command tracert google.com. Replace google.com with the specific link that needs to trace route like real1.dafapoker.com, fun1.tilacasino.com, banner.dafa888.com and the likes. The result will be displayed as shown below.

How to Copy MS DOS Traceroute Result

1. Copy and Save to Notepad

    

   1. Right-click your mouse and select "Mark".
      
      
      
      
   2. Highlight the full text of the result by positioning your cursor at the beginning, holding down your left mouse button, and dragging the cursor to highlight the contents.
      
      
      
      
   3. Click ENTER key in your keyboard to copy the result.
      
      
   4. Open Notepad then right click and select “Paste”.
      
      
      
      
   5. Then go to FILE tab and click SAVE.
      
      
      
      Note: Aside from notepad you can directly paste this to IM or email for sending.
   
   
   

2. Copy and Save to Word Document

    

   1. Point the mouse cursor at the header of the command prompt then click ALT+PRINTSCREEN in your keyboard.
      
      
   2. Open a new word document then right click and choose PASTE.
      
      
      
      
   3. Then go to FILE tab and click SAVE.
      
      
      
      Note: After you save your document, you can send this through IM, or attach in the email.
   
   
   

3. Copy and Save to Paint Document

   Point the mouse cursor at the header of the command prompt then click ALT+PRINTSCREEN in your keyboard

    

   1. Open a new paint document then right click and choose PASTE.
      
      
      
      
   2. Then go FILE tab and click SAVE.
      
      
      
      Note: After you save your document, you can send this through IM, or attach in the email.
   
   
   

4. Using Network Tools

    

   1. Open your Internet browser (IE or Firefox) and type www.nwtools.com or www.network-tools.com in the address box.
      
      
      
      
   2. Type the specific link that needs to trace route like real1.dafapoker.com, fun1.tilacasino.com, banner.dafa888.com and the likes. The result will be displayed as shown below.
      
      
      
      Note: You can directly copy the traceroute result and paste it to IM or email for sending.
